Six months before your big day, you will receive a wedding questionnaire, along with a request to book your pre-wedding consultation. These planning opportunities will allow us to chat through everything from family dynamics, to whether or not we are cutting a cake, to what we can expect from Great Uncle Albert during group photos. My planning process is pretty extensive, but it's important to me to walk into a wedding day well-informed so that you don't have to play host and can fully envelope yourselves in your day.

Q: how long have you been photographing weddings?
A: I started second shooting weddings right after I graduated from college in 2016 and shot my first independent wedding in May 2017. I instantly knew that I had to have more of it-- and FAST! By Spring 2018, I had enough weddings booked to officially make it my full time gig, and I can't imagine doing anything else.
q: what AM I GOING TO SPEND ON YOUR SERVICES?
A: On average, couples spend around $5000 on my wedding services, but collections start at $4500. Collections can also be customized to fit your specific needs, but choosing one of the listed collections above does come with some savings!
q: how do i reserve my date?
A: Once you decide to move forward, I will send you a contract and an invoice for your non-refundable retainer of 25% of your total collection price. Once I have those two things, your date will officially be on my calendar!
q: how many images are included in a gallery?
A: This depends entirely on the package you choose and different aspects of your day, but I can promise you that I won't withhold images to meet a certain number. If I think the image is important to your story, you will have it!
Q: do you provide raw,
unedited photos?
A: Simply put? No. Not so simply put? Editing is a huge part of what makes my work unique, and in addition to connecting with the human behind the lens, it's one of the primary reasons you choose a wedding photographer in the first place! Additionally, RAW images are unusable for printing, posting, etc. because they are very large files that need to be converted first. (Enter: the photographer with all of her editing capabilities!)
q: what does your backup process look like?
A: This is the top question you should be asking when trying to determine your wedding photographer choice. Your photos are so very important, and they should be treated that way! Every camera I use comes with a dual card slot, meaning that the second I click the shutter, the photo is saved in two different places. As soon as I get home from your wedding, I back up your images to two separate external hard drives, as well as the Cloud. Finally, once I have finished editing your photos, I load your enter collection onto an online gallery that will hold your photos safely for up to ten years.
q: what is your
turnaround time?
A: Depending on the collection you select, your turnaround from wedding day to final gallery delivery will be 5-8 weeks.
q: what happens if you are unexpectedly unable to make it to our wedding?
A: Life is unexpected and can change at the drop of a hat, but I will always do everything I possibly can to ensure that my couples are taken care of! Unless I am unconscious, I simply will not leave you hanging. Instead, I will locate someone that I trust to take over for me on the big day, and I will still do all of the post-processing work at no extra cost to you!
q: do you help with the
planning process?
A: Absolutely! I am here for whatever you need. My biggest role in planning tends to be making your wedding day schedule and shot list, but I have helped plan multiple weddings and picked up lots of helpful tips throughout my years of spending whole weekends at 'em! Always, always ask!
q: do you have any
travel costs?
A: If your venue is within 60 miles of the Twin Cities, travel is complimentary. However, beyond 60 miles, there will be associated fees for gas, travel time, hotel, flight, and rental car depending on where your wedding is located and which variables are involved. These fees are calculated on a case-by-case basis.
q: do you shoot destination weddings?
A: I sure do! I absolutely love exploring the world and would gladly discuss where you are headed for your 'I do's'! Travel costs will be involved, but I will be so happy to work with you on building a custom collection for your big day. Keep in mind that I do a limited number of destination weddings each year, so reach out sooner rather than later to ensure yours is one of them!
q: what is the best way
